is it true that US government is cancelling most series currency notes of US $ printed from 1998 till 2011?

To boost the drowning US economy which is trillions of US $ in debt, the US government printed trillions of currency notes of US dollars over the last 12 years. Now the US govt is planning to cancel most of those series of US dollars currency notes.
My question is , if the US government does as it plans to, won't all those not be ruined who have converted their reserve money to US $ or those who are planning to buy US dollars for business transactions?

Not merely false, but absolutely ridiculous. All US banknotes issued since 1861 are still redeemable, and will continue to be.
Any kind of move like that would have to be made in consultation with Panama, El Salvador, and Ecuador - all of which use US Dollar banknotes as their own currency.
By the way, the entire premise is insane, but why 1998? That would be unworkable for several reasons (There was no Series 1998 banknotes - There were only Series 1996 and 1999. It is impossible to tell banknotes printed in 1996 and 1997 from those printed in 1998 or early 1999. And what about all older series banknotes?)
Zafar is outright wrong - within the US, there is no problem spending all older series notes. I am aware that many foreign merchants will not accept older US notes because they lack many modern security features. That is up to the individual merchants involved. I live in the USA, I have been collecting banknotes for thirty years, and I work with several currency exchanges - You are wrong. Series 1988 and older notes ARE STILL VALID and very much spendable here in the USA. Your source has a well deserved reputation for not being credible.
The following is from the Bureau Of Engraving and Printing web site (This is the US government agency that prints banknotes):
Will there be a recall or devaluation of the older-series notes?

There will be no recall or devaluation of the older-series notes, which will be removed from circulation as they wear out. Older worn notes will be replaced with the new notes.
